What should I do if I am concerned my vehicle is not safe to drive?

Call us immediately and discuss your concern. Or call your roadside assistance provider to get your vehicle towed to our workshop if necessary. Safety is our number 1 priority!

How often should I have my brakes inspected?

6 months or 10,000kms

Do you bleed the brakes during a standard brake service?

No, as it is an additional charge.

Do you flush the brake fluid during a standard brake service?

During your regular vehicle service appointment, we test your brake fluid for contaminants and will flush the brake fluid only when necessary. As the cost of living increases, your service bill shouldn’t have to increase unnecessarily either.

How often should I change my brake pads?

When advised by your mechanic.

Do you provide Digital reports for the work you have done?

Yes, we will document all repairs carried out during your visit and a breakdown of all parts used to carry out the repair.

Will I receive a digital report of anything you find wrong?

If there are any additional repairs required, we will report our findings on your tax invoice. If there are any urgent additional repairs required, we will contact you with the details and costs involved.

Should my brakes be machined?

Our standard practice is to machine the surface of the disc brake rotor when replacing the brake pads to ensure optimal braking capabilities of your vehicle.

Why are my brakes squealing?

The most common cause of brakes squealing is friction noise from the pad and rotor surface becoming glazed. It could also be a sign your brake pads are due for replacement. Contact us to discuss an inspection.

Why do my brakes vibrate when I am stopping?

This is a sign of an uneven surface on your disc brake rotor. This can be easily resolved by machining the surface of the rotor or by replacing the rotor. Contact us to discuss an inspection.

What would cause the brake pedal to travel down a lot farther than it used to?

This could be sign of an issue with your brake fluid or the hydraulic braking system. Contact us to discuss an urgent inspection.

What is the cost of a brake service?

What is an anti lock system and what does it do?

The anti lock system is designed to control your braking system when under extreme braking conditions to avoid losing control of your vehicle.

Which brakes do most of the work, front or rear?

We find you will generally replace 2 sets of front brake pads to 1 set of rear brake pads.
